Meet Emmanuelle
Here's a few accomodation options I'd recommend
Most likely Sofia's finest hotel, its rooftop bar offering an outstanding view on the cathedral makes it quite a buzzy place

One of Sofia's finest too, just a bit quieter, exhibiting an interesting Bulgarian art collection all over the place.

The impressive architecture of the building and the classic decor it houses are the strength of this establishment, as well as Its very central location.

Despite the ''kitsch and bling-bling'' overhaul atmosphere, this is still a decent option, with several bars, restaurants or clubs on the spot.

Located less than 10mn away from the airport, this one is always a great value.
And if I had a black list, what names would I put on it ?
I highly disrecommend this one for several reasons : the overhaul design of the place that could seriously use a refurbishment, its location that despite being quite central is definitely not the nicest area in Sofia, and I also have some personal issues with the management's poor behavior. Actually, even their casino is not that well rated.
That being said, I would still be able to meet you if you're staying there.

Now this one is actually a nice place, conveniently located less than 10mn from the airport, however their visitors policy is a bit tricky. We'll have to meet in the bar downstairs first, or you'll have to let reception know that I'm coming to meet you, in which case they'll require my ID and check me in too. Should you be in this hotel, please let me know about that first : as discretion matters to me, I try to put as much space as I can between my checked-in visits to this place.
